What is the website platform like?

The website platform that we use is trusted by over 110 million customers across the globe thanks to its quantity of tools, capabilities, and freedom. When making comparisons against other web platforms, it is a clear front-runner which is why we use it.

Our websites are built to the client’s exact specifications thanks to our open development platform that accepts Javascript, databases and data-driven dynamic pages. Everything can be customised, from the fonts to the colours so we can ensure the branding is in line with your business.

How much will it cost me for a website design?

For just £695, we will design and build a professional 5-page website.

What other fees are there to consider?

You will need to purchase a complete hosting plan from our third-party supplier. This costs just £72 +VAT per annum and includes everything you need to keep your website in good health. The plan includes a free domain name for one year (then £10.39 +VAT annually thereafter), SSL encryption, favicon, 2GB bandwidth, 3GB storage, 30 minutes of video storage, maximum of 100 pages, email marketing, monthly security checks, premium support from your account manager and complete hosting.

Can I choose a different host?

No, the website will be built on a single third-party platform and you will need to pay them directly for these services. The great thing about this is that you won’t be paying any ridiculous markups that other website developers charge. We will set up your chosen payment method once you are happy to go live with your website.

When do I pay for my website?

We raise the invoice for the work agreed at the point of order. Only when this is paid will we start the process of building your website. As for the website platform, you will pay this annually.

What happens if I don’t like the design you create?

We offer three revision periods during the building of the website. For example, we will build your website as per your instruction and send over a draft of the website. You will then be asked to send an email back with all of the revisions you require. This is counted as one revision period. We will repeat the process again and when you send another email to us with revisions, this will be counted as the second revision. This process is then repeated one final time.

Will my website work on mobile?

Yes. Your new website will be fully optimised to work on desktop, mobile and tablet devices.

Do you give me access to my website?

Absolutely! Once you are happy with your new website and we have published it on the web, we will send you your own login details. With these you will be able to change colours, fonts and add any new elements on to your website that you want.

What if I already have a domain?

This is something we encounter all the time. We will just need you to change over the DNS Name Servers to the new website platform once you are ready to go live. Don’t worry though, we will help you with this.

Will I get an email address with my new website?

We can set you up with an email address for your domain, linked through Google Workspace which will cost £60 +VAT per annum. An alternative solution is to purchase the domain name through a third party (e.g. GoDaddy, 123reg, Namecheap) and get your email accounts from there. This will cost about £10* +VAT per annum instead, so a substantial saving.

How much are additional web pages?

If you would like to add any additional pages to your website, we charge £100 per page. This includes the design, build and optimisation for different devices.

How much do you charge for changes in the future?

In a couple of months, you might decide that some information needs changing and don’t feel confident in doing it yourself. Tradesman Websites are on hand to help you with this and charge just £50 per hour. There is a minimum period of one hour, so we advise that you give us a list of things to work on so you can get the best value for money.

Do you offer any monthly care plans?

Yes. We offer an optional care plan for just £29 per month. This will include regular health and security checks, as well as page updates. When you pay for our monthly care plan, we do not charge our hourly rate of £50 for changes.

How do I get started?

Simply fill out our enquiry form on our contact page and we will send you an invoice, questionnaire and our web design terms and conditions. Once payment has been made via bank transfer and our questionnaire has been filled out and returned to us, we will kick things off.

Where are you located?

Tradesman Websites is located in South Wales in the United Kingdom, in a town called Bridgend. We are in the middle of Swansea and Cardiff but offer our services to tradespeople across the country.

Who should have one of these websites?

Although we are called Tradesman Websites, our sites can be adopted to any business looking to increase their level of enquiries and bottom line.
